The story begins with a child, born into this world.

Taught how to think and how to feel - guided by what's real.

Then came a time when he grew older, and opened up his eyes.  He saw the world for what it was, and what his culture does.

The world is a hole. I'm falling over and down. The further I go, the less I'll find my way out. If darkness befalls, will I soon loose my crown? I only see the black before my hands as the world comes crashing down.

And we're bathing in ashes again. And we write the words that tell us we've sinned. Murder, power, and lies - our own fault. Can't you see we're damning it all?

Now he has grown into a man and no one does he trust?

He can't believe in what he's learned - the truth long since been burned.

Trusted the truth from his teachers and found out they had lied

He filled in the blanks until he was gone - and led again by the blind.

The world is a hole. I'm falling over and down. The further I go, the less I'll find my way ou. If darkness befalls, will I soon loose my crown? I only see the black before my hands as the world comes crashing down.

And we're bathing in ashes again. And we write the words that tell us we've sinned. Murder, power, and lies - our own fault. Can't you see we're damning it all?

And as he lays feeling empty, on his dying bed.

He thinks of all that he has learned, and knows he'll soon be dead.

And at the end of his life, he tried not to be a fool.

Too hard and cold he did become, and he knows he's been a tool.
