WAR AMONG GODS

Dark are the portents (darkness)
And signs of dreading a holocaust

A campaign of blood and tears (crusade)
In god’s name, we reap the fields of pain

Powerful leaders fall (mutiny)
The end nears

Ask not for what you believe
In god, you find no reprieve
One vision stands above time
Are we the next ones in time

War has been reborn
We bear the crown of thorns
Tempt the hands of fate
Plant the seeds of hate

Douse the world in flames
Lay on others blame
Guided by on high
And righteous, selfish pride

Black wells of life run dry (crisis)
We see now what many have seen before

Desperate to quench our thirst (vultures)
We fight for freedom we say they need

The smoke clears the battlefield (death stench)
They come forth

Children who see through the lies
Become the men we despise
Joining the cause of jihad
Thus comes the war among gods
